Working and Eating is a 30-day Christian devotional and journal for men built around the simple biblical principle that states, ‘If a man doesn’t work…he doesn’t eat.’ We have extracted from that the spiritual principle: if a man works spiritually, then he must also eat spiritually. The clear message is that a man cannot continually pour himself out to his family, church, workplace, and community, yet neglect to ensure that he consumes a steady diet of the Word of God.

Our talents, labor, and accomplishments must never cause us to forget the One who gives us strength. As we consume God’s Word, we are reminded that our ability to serve is not a product of our strength alone, but of the favor and influence of the Lord.

The lessons Moses learned in Pharaoh’s house serve as an example for all of us. God doesn’t have us strategically placed in corporate or the educational system or industry—just for our sake! No, we are positioned to glean from the World to impact the Kingdom. So, don’t waste time going to work—let’s go get all that we can, for God’s House!
