[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The purpose of a Precept Model, in our usage, is to establish a means of insuring that all teaching concepts follow a prescribed format. In many ways, it serves as a road-map for our discussion and journey for discipleship! The Precept Model is not intended in any way to replace the Bible as our ultimate authority for all truths. In fact, our precept model thoroughly utilizes the Bible to represent specific teachings as will be readily obvious to the reader as they study and grow in the usage of this guide.
As noted, the precept model is a “visual map” that is useful in guiding our approach as we touch and focus on the key areas in men’s lives, that help to develop the whole man, specifically the:
-
- Spiritual Man
- Relational Man
- Stewarding Man
- Praying Man
The precept model should be seen as a foundational tool used to pictorially represent “the whole man.” Is it an all comprehensive, all-inclusive model? Perhaps not—but, it certainly establishes a reference point that quite effectively depicts very specific areas of our lives that are crucial in our development as a “man” who becomes who the Lord desires in the earth.
The broader purpose of our Precept Model is to support the Biblical mandates of our Lord’s Ministry, which is to move men from being observers of the work of the Lord to being doers of the work of the Lord! That is, men becoming the “Men of God” that the Kingdom of God desperately needs in these times.
Simply put (or not), the purpose of the Precept Model methodology has been created:
To grow men to become:
-
- More Mature,
- More Faithful,
- More Stable and
- More Accountable to both God and man.
