The Genesis of “Headless-ness”
What Led to the Headless Man Workshop?
What was happening? What was going on? In ways that I cannot explain, suddenly, there was a definite void in my life. I realized that in a few short months, that I had lost access to those whose wisdom and love that I had known for so long. And now…they were gone!
The void in my life was now inescapable. In three short months I had lost my physical and spiritual covering—and I felt alone…and disconnected. I determined, that I had never felt this way before.
My road to heedlessness,
Spiritual Headlessness:
First, the death of my Pastor on January 15, 2017, a great man who I was very close to. He was a spiritual father and global leader to many people.
Paternal Headlessness:
Then, just thirty days later on February 14, 2017, there was the death of my Father. My Daddy! Such a man, the model of manhood that I always wanted to be! Surely, a man after God’s own heart.
Maternal Headlessness:
Then forty-five days later, April 3, 2017, my Father-in-Law went to glory. A quiet man. A loving father. Full of faith.
This was the first time where I felt alone. The men that I identified with as my upward earthly authority were suddenly gone. This was my first experience of “heedlessness.” For the first time I felt like so many others; especially men, who have lived and felt this way the entirety of their lives.
In my season of contemplation, I realized that this was a conversation worth having, and so I began to write. The result was this thought, ‘The Headless Man – The Disturbing Reality of a Leaderless Society.’
How the Workshop Works
This workshop is the result of that conversation. Our Headless Man Workshop is conducted in a 1/2 day session, with topics including:

Creating a Legacy!
At the end of the session, participants will better understand the systemic problem of headlessness in our society and begin developing practical, biblical strategies to “Get A-Head.”
