“How do you become a man who successfully walks into his future–if you haven’t over come the pains of your past?”
The gospel artist, CeCe Winnans sings an amazing song entitled Alabaster Box. The song speaks of a woman who came to minister to Jesus but was instead chastised by others that she was wasting expensive oil on Him. They could not understand that she was lead by her sensitivity to the Spirit of God in her as she anointed Jesus with the expensive oil instead of selling the oil for great profit.
She alone understood that her actions were simply a result of her knowing the “distance” she had crossed to form a relationship with Jesus, her Savoir. Even as she wept, the distance was represented in her tears of pain. This of course was something that only she and Jesus understood. This simple lesson of sacrifice reminds us that no one really knows how far we have to come—or even how far we have to go! No one really knows the cost of our “oil” that we pour out as praise in recognition of the marvelous work done by our Lord.
Each time the wondrous melody plays, something stirs, deep within reawakening the awareness of the depths of the Lord’s salvation. In spite of our pain, Christ is always available to restore us. All of us have come a long way in Christ. We did not get “here” alone—nor can we stay “here” alone. We need a savoir—we need a redeemer—we need a keeper—we need a comforter. We need the fullness of the hope that is in Christ Jesus.
A GODLY RELATIONSHIP

Understanding your self-worth is a matter of learning to see yourself as God sees you. We can, however, become trapped in the world’s image of us – how they see us. The world wants to place you in a box so that it can dismiss you as just one out of a large group of sameness; the Lord, however wants to lift you up – so that God would be glorified through your life! Believe it! God knows you better than you know yourself – and things are a whole lot better than you thought they were!

OUR KINGDOM CITIZENSHIP
What does it mean to be a Kingdom Citizen? Is having our name on the church role enough? Is being in good standing with the church enough? A Kingdom Citizen walks in the authority of the King and when we as believers begin to understand the depth of what that means – then we can begin to understand that even when all the odds are against us, we are still victorious in Christ!
